Tuesday Bible Study

Join us Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm in the worship center (sanctuary).  In about an hour we'll help you discover and deepen your understanding of God's plan for your life and His world.  Pastor Jerry teaches verse-by-verse from the NIV Bible.  Our time together in this adult learning is interactive and from the text. 

The process is called inductive Bible study.  Basically, we use the following method:
- What does it say?
- What does it mean?
- What do we do about it?

We believe God has revealed His will and way in His Word.  We use the NIV (New International Version) as it's a good balance between word-for-word and thought-for-thought.  It remains true to the underlying Greek and Hebrew text but the translators use modern English and expressions that make sense to our 21st century ears.

2 Timothy 3:16, "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.  It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right.  It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do."
