WHen can I begin?
Begin any time. Just find today's date on the chart or on the downloadable Navigator Bible Reading Plan PDF.
whY 4 readings?
This helps you see the unity of the Bible. It also helps keep you engaged with the text and story.
what if i miss a day or two?
Just pickup with the current day. Don't get frustrated. Read as much as you can when you can.
how many days a week do i read?
This plan is designed around 5 days a week. If you finish a month's reading early you may want to go back and read sections that you missed.
what if i can't read this much?
Focus on one section from either the New or Old Testament. The primary thing is to engage God is His Word.
What if I don't understand?
You can contact pastor Jerry with insights or questions.
You can use an on-line help such as Enduring Word. You can use a "Study Bible" with helpful notes. What translation should i use?
I recommend the NIV - New International Version. This is a good balance between readability and the original languages (Greek and Hebrew). I also recommend the NLT - New Living Translation if you want the text to speak even more clearly.
are there in person bible studies?
Yes. Sunday's sermons are adult Bible studies. There is also a Bible study Sunday morning at 10:00 between services. The pastor leads a Tuesday Bible Study at 6:30pm in the sanctuary.
why should i study the bible?
The Bible is a clear path to faith (Romans 10:17).
God's Will is revealed in God's Word (John 17:17). Scripture enables us to face and defeat sin and to lead a life as an overcomer (Philippian 4:13). What good is the bible?
From Genesis to Revelation the Bible reveals God's desire to give us life - an abundant and eternal life. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me" - the Greatest Good.
